"We increased our knowledge during our first successful experience of 2x1 silk plants"
Now we offer you:

New silk soaking machine :

Traditional silk soaking was replaced first with a mechanical pressing machine; we improved this using a soft vacuum process without Lmechanical pressing and realized the following advantages:

  • High vacuum makes silk more suitable to absorb softening oil.
  • High vacuum protects silk quality without mechanical shock.
  • No chemical waste.
  • Minimum space required.
  • No preparation time.
  • Easy addition of fugitive colour.
  • Easy operation by computer controlled process.
Specifications
Spooling for Twisting :

After soaking there is the spooling process where hanks are wound on flanged bobbins.
"Arratex does not produce this machine but can advise"

Doubling for twisting :

Doubling process for organzine thread or for increasing denier of silk.
"Arratex does not produce this machine but can advise"

New 2x1 twisting Machines :

  • Ergonomic design.
  • Technologically updated for one end crepe twist.
  • Technologically updated for low twist.
  • Take-up bobbin formation assisted by microprocessor for best package shape and unwinding performance.
  • Take up bobbin ready for direct dyeing, especially the one on tube L=230mm: it is a commercial bobbin that does not require rewinding before dyeing; rewinding can be performed after dyeing to obtain the best silk quality.

Knowledge :

Silk has its origin in China, the "seeds" were brought to Italy by a monk returning from the Orient. For many centuries and till the end of the second world war in the 20th century, the Italian cocoon industry was an important complementary seasonal economy of the farmers. Due to the industrialization of artificial and synthetic filament yarns, cocoon production was dismissed in the Italian countryside: labour was more comfortable under a roof than in the field...
After this, silk on hanks still comes to Italy mainly from China. Oriental pioneers and entrepreneurs from Russia and Japan, from China and Korea took to their countries the Italian knowledge of reeling plants for hanks and kept it alive and updated.

We are proud to say that one Italian family still maintains the full knowledge and production line from cocoons. Silk is selected and processed with even count character. In India and its cultural closest countries, silk production was developed in line with their belief: silk has a character with active marks and natural patterns. Two different cultures with knowledge on silk and different way of teaching silk art. Regarding twisting process, at the beginning it was 1x1 : useful for both the even and uneven silk character. In Italy, when we went across the 2x1 process and developed it for artificial and synthetic filament yarns, we turned the fresh knowledge to silk with even character.
