Arratex offers versatile twisting machines containing the widest range of software for twisting, pre-twisting, assembling, covering, cabling, and for making fancy-effect textile threads. Arratex has been designing twisting machines using 2x1 hollow spindle for the two main processes, cold and thermo, suitable for both garment and upholstery:

Cold Process :

  • Standard 2x1 twisting machine.
  • Muline assembling twisting and pre-twisting.
  • Muline covering including elastic threads.
  • Fancy yarn effects production.

Thermo Process :

  • Twisting and thermo-setting.
  • Fancy yarn thermo-effects production.
  • Thermo-shrinking and thermo-drawing twisting.
  • POY compatible.


Knowledge :

2x1 twisting machines were mainly developed for commodities such as "voile" for upholstery, low twist textured yarns and crepe yarns for garment. An important evolution on its main mechanical accessory has been the "cabling" version of the 2x1 spindle, which introduced the threads doubling process.
This has been the chance that led to develop versatile twisting machines.
Model AR388L/LL :
  • Rayon/Viscose, Bemberg, Acetate, PES, PA: crepe, medium and low twist.
  • Air textured yarns.
  • First phase of frisottine yarn.
  • PES 78 dtx flat, 800 tpm "Z" for voile warp and weft.
  • PES 167 dtx textured, 250 tpm "Z" for warp.
  • PES 22 dtx monofilament, low and medium twist for warp and weft.
  • Second twist of doubled pre-twisted yarns.

With "cabling" spindle

  • Second phase of Frisottine yarn.
  • Devore Viscose/Rayon or Cotton or Linen cabling with PA and PES monofilament yarn (cabling).
  • Doubling and covering yarn (muline).
  • Covering glass fibre.
  • Pre-twist for doubling yarns.

Model AR388H :

  • AR388L whole function.
  • Twisting and thermosetting:
       -yarns on bobbins ready for dyeing (ties, scarves with and without jacquard);
       -PES 110 dtx flat at 600 tpm z for labels warp.
  • Sewing threads: second twist with stabilizing heater.
  • Intermingled elastic products: twisting and thermosetting elasticity range.


Model AR388HFT :

  • AR388H whole function.
  • PES silk-like.
  • Sable for scarves.
  • Acetate textured yarn.
  • Sable for curtains.
  • Computerized version for:
       - thick and thin;
       - textured slubs;
       - sable and textured slubs.
  • Above items with two threads using hollow spindle and creel.
